MS MINISTRY PARTNER UPDATE FOR MAR. 30, 2016

Why was the basketball arena hot after the game?

Because all the fans left.

THIS WEEK IN MIDDLE SCHOOL

We're going to try this again. Hopefully the snow stays away :)

This Wednesday is Week 4 of our teaching series titled, "#GivingUp." This week we'll talk about giving up popularity. We'll read about Jesus and his grand entrance into Jerusalem, days before being crucified.

What a welcome Jesus got as he entered Jerusalem. “Hosanna!” the people cried, hailing him as an honored king. The crowds loved Jesus as he came into town, but just a few days later a different crowd was calling for his death and the release of a murderer. Popularity and acclaim in the eyes of others is fleeting, and if we put all our faith in it we will be very disappointed.

Instead, God calls us to put our faith in God's unending love and grace- something that will never go away, and will sustain us through the times when others have abandoned us.

BLAST: MIDDLE SCHOOL LOCK-IN

We are partnering with Jeremy Robinson, Middle School Pastor at Crossroads Community Church, to pull off a Middle School Lock-in at Parker Fieldhouse on Saturday, April 16 from 8pm-5am.

Activities: 5 Inflatables, bump soccer, movies, football, photo booth, pizza, prizes, basketball, snacks, GAGA, volleyball, soccer, tournaments, dodgeball, dance party, X Box, and a hoverboard giveaway.

We are inviting you to volunteer for this event. What do you think?
Please email or talk to Ben if you are interested or want more info.

You would not have to volunteer for the entire duration of the event. There are two shifts: 6:30p-1a and 1a-6a. Responsibilities to volunteer for are:

  • Food Team - Keep food stocked throughout the event.
  • Security - Watch all doors, exits, and overall safety.
  • Stations - Watching inflatables, turf field, gym, and hockey rink.
  • Games - Referee for tournaments and keeping track of brackets.
  • Wherever - "I'll do whatever you need me to..."

So what do you think? I'll be there, will you?

SUMMER CAMP - MINISTRY PARTNER APPLICATION

Middle School Summer Camp will be July 10-16, 2016 at Glorieta Camp in Glorieta, New Mexico!

We are able to take Ministry Partners for free, how does that sound!?!? Exciting to me!

The amount of Ministry Partners needed will be determined by student registrations. At this time, if you're interested in serving at Middle School Sumer camp, please complete this brief online application.

We'll be in touch with the next steps.

THANK YOU

We appreciate your partnership with Middle School Ministry. We cannot do this without you. Make it a great day!

Blessings and fist-bumps,

Ben
