MS MINISTRY PARTNER UPDATE FOR APR. 20, 2016

why don't fish get summer vacation?

Because they are always in schools.

THIS WEEK IN MIDDLE SCHOOL

We are now in Week 3 of our teaching series, Elijah.

Our focus will be on prayer. It seems that everyone has different experiences with prayer, but it's an important part of the Christian life. We'll look at Elijah's prayer life to learn effective prayers are humble, specific, persistent, and expectant.

THIS SATURDAY, for real: MIDDLE SCHOOL LOCK-IN

We are partnering with Jeremy Robinson, Middle School Pastor at Crossroads Community Church, to pull off a Middle School Lock-in at Parker Fieldhouse on Saturday, April 23 from 8pm-5am.

Activities: 5 Inflatables, bump soccer, movies, football, photo booth, pizza, prizes, basketball, snacks, GAGA, volleyball, soccer, tournaments, dodgeball, dance party, X Box, and a hoverboard giveaway.

We are inviting you to volunteer for this event. What do you think?
Please email or talk to Ben if you are interested or want more info.

You would not have to volunteer for the entire duration of the event. There are two shifts: 6:30p-1a and 1a-6a. Responsibilities to volunteer for are:

  • Food Team - Keep food stocked throughout the event.
  • Security - Watch all doors, exits, and overall safety.
  • Stations - Watching inflatables, turf field, gym, and hockey rink.
  • Games - Referee for tournaments and keeping track of brackets.
  • Wherever - "I'll do whatever you need me to..."

So what do you think? I'll be there, will you?

parent night (5th grade students too!)

Wednesday, May 4 will be Parent Night in The Den. We're even inviting the current 5th graders and their parents as well.

All moms and dads are invited to see what goes on Wednesday nights and then participate in a Parent Meeting at 7:00.

Spread the word and tell your students their parents are invited to The Den on "Star Wars Day" (May the 4th be with you).

THANK YOU

We appreciate your partnership with Middle School Ministry. We cannot do this without you. Make it a great day!

Blessings and fist-bumps,

Ben
