I’m a student at Ozark Christian College and I love the Lord and all that He does! At 20 years of age, I'm beginning to see how God is transforming me into the man He wants me to become. I believe that He has chosen me for vocational ministry and I am so excited to be a youth pastor some day!
As I have studied the Book of Acts for the last semester, I have seen the emphasis the early Church put on reaching out to the marginalized. Just as Jesus modeled for the disciples to love people who have been despised and rejected, the disciples modeled the same for us. We must minister to those who no one else is ministering to. That’s why I am so excited to serve in Royal Family Kids Camp this year. I want the abused and rejected kids that walk into camp to leave as kids who are loved and filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit!
Royal Family KIDS in Parker, Colorado is a one week, residential camp for children in the foster system within the Denver Metro area. For one week this summer a group of wonderful campers, ages 6-12, and trained, background checked, loving volunteers from Southeast Christian Church will head to camp with the goal of treating our campers ROYALLY! Royal Family provides a safe, nurturing, FUN, life-changing experience free of charge to God’s precious kids in the foster care system in Douglas, Arapahoe and Jefferson counties. We will have the opportunity to demonstrate the love of God through singing, dancing, laughing, playing games, Bible stories, drama, puppet shows, swimming, creating crafts, and developing healthy relationships with safe adults.
Royal Family KIDS is the nation's leading network of camps, clubs and mentors for children of abuse, neglect and abandonment. Most of us have experienced an encouraging word or kind gesture when we were at our deepest low, and we know how life changing it was.
Since 1985, Royal Family KIDS has lifted children from the deepest pits of despair and given them hope that they can take one more step toward a better tomorrow and a brighter future.
