Hello, my name is Mike. I grew up in very conservative Mennonite circles. I moved to Denver, Colorado in 2012 to for business reasons, and I greatly enjoy living here. I live in central Denver now, where I share an apartment with my cousin.
It has been one of my dreams for years to be part of a mission trip and to take part in the effort to help people around the world who are much less fortunate than we are. When I learned that there was a trip planned in May to work with Mercy Ships I knew without a doubt that God wanted me to be a part of it. I am excited to be a part of the group being sent from Southeast.
The planned cost of my trip is $2,900, and I have complete faith that God will provide. Your prayers and support are very much appreciated.
This small team from Southeast will be heading to Congo to partner with Mercy Ships. This is a non-medical opportunity to pack up the Africa Mercy and to get it ready for sail from the Republic of Congo to its dry dock location - Tenerife, Canary Islands. This team will pack up the clinics, tends and containers, power wash and clean decks, windows and the galley and anything else needed to prep the ship for departure. There is an option sail at the end.
