Hi, my name is April Rogers! I’m 15 years old and live in Parker, with my mom, dad, sister, and brother. I’ve been attending Southeast for over five years and feel blessed to be part of this wonderful church community. I also feel truly honored to have the opportunity to go to Haiti and share the love of Christ. This is my first mission trip and I’m beyond excited! I feel so called to serve my God and I know this will be a life changing experience. I love God, I love people, and I’m ready to impact the world!
This team of 22 from Southeast's Next Generation youth will be heading to Haiti March 22-29, 2014 to serve alongside Mission of Hope. The team will be partnering with the village of Source Matelas, and the trip program could include painting houses, a building project, working in the school and sharing the Gospel. The team will also spend time in the orphanage on the mission working with the kids and sharing the Gospel with them.
As an organization following Jesus Christ, Mission of Hope exists to bring life transformation to every man, woman, and child in Haiti. Their desire is to serve the nation of Haiti and to see lives changed. Their passion is to see the hopeless find hope through Jesus Christ, and empower future generations through education to bring their country out of poverty.
Mission of Hope’s primary efforts are focused on church advancement, educational development, orphan care, health care and nutrition.
