Enrich is the 'umbrella' under which all of our women's mentoring opportunities happen.
Building 1:1 relationships through christ
Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God. Titus 2: 3-5
Enrich Connect: This mentoring-based one time event is for ALL women, whether you are deeply desiring to enter a mentoring relationship or just want to find out a little more information. Come as a potential mentor or mentee and connect with many other women. Both roles can seem intimidating, yet there is nothing more natural then an older woman pouring into a younger woman. We hope to ease this tension and show you that this is right for you. We will be encouraging women to lean on the Holy Spirit for guiding these relationships and thus will not be pairing women up ourselves. Rather we will focus on things to look for when considering a mentor/mentee, what to expect, and tips for seeking out a lasting and successful relationship. This event will be September 18 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm in the Colorado Room.
Grow With Me: This 12-week class is designed for women who are considering being a mentor or discipler, but who first want to solidify their relationship with Christ as well as their knowledge of scripture and Christian doctrine. The class will be held Thursday evenings, starting September 21, from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Space is limited and will be first come first serve. Cost is $35 for books and supplies. We ask that registrants are able to commit to the full 12 weeks. Email Teresa Rausch with questions.
Mentor Moms: We are seeking women of grown children to work with our Mops ministry. Mops stands for 'Mothers of Preschoolers' and seeks to put mentors in the path of these young mothers who are navigating parenthood with young children. IF you have a heart for encouraging and supporting young mothers, consider this opportunity. Contact Diana with interest or questions.
Mentoring the Marginalized: Denver Rescue Mission and Single Moms of Southeast are both in need of women to walk along side women in hardship. This is primarily focused on single moms, either in the Single Moms Connect meetings at Southeast or through the Champa House with women who have come out of abusive situations.
Southeast is also starting a refugee family mentoring program and is need of people to walk along side of refugee families and help assimilate them to their new lives.
Women Encouraged (WE): Are you walking a rocky road and looking for support and encouragement from a woman who may have walked that very road? Are you experiencing a hard situation and just want someone to walk with you? Women Encouraged connects women together to help one another through life's many journeys.
