Introduction: John 2
The book of John is both the easiest and hardest book of the Bible to read. The author speaks plainly, yet pointedly. As we journey through this study say this simple prayer: God speak to me, because I am listening.
Stuff Phil said:
“I wonder if you’ve stepped into a place where you aren’t sure if God is going to catch you. This is the place where faith grows…where it gets its roots.”
“If you can understand all of it, it would not be faith.”
“Knowing is very different from understanding.”
“Questions and doubts cause you to dig deeper into your faith.”
“Doubt makes a great hobby, but a lousy focus.”
Have you ever been in a place where you were not sure about your faith? How did you get through this time in your life?
How do you continue to know more about your faith? How do you continue to understand more about your faith?
When you feel like, you cannot find answers to your questions, where do turn?
Phil said, “faith is like a puzzle…it comes together slowly.” How has your faith come together slowly?
Knowing that “you can’t grow in your faith without questions,” how are you going to partner with God to answer them?
