Crisis Response Team

Southeast Christian Church has been designated as an Emergency Evacuation Center (EEC) by Douglas County's Office of Emergency Management and the Red Cross. In the event our county declares an emergency, Southeast may become a center for citizens to seek shelter. Emergencies can vary in type and duration, including natural disasters or those caused by man, home or apartment fires, wild fires, snow storms, tornadoes, HAZMAT spills, explosions, major industrial accidents, and law enforcement actions, etc. These events could last anywhere from several hours to several days. The Compassion Response Team is responsible for preparing Southeast to accept community members, provide initial services, and then assist the Red Cross once they arrive. This team will provide care and comfort by assisting community members with hydration, snacks, electronic charging stations, healthcare items, and meet special needs during an emergency.
