Adults: Singles-SOFG

You can connect with other people with similar interests or experiences at Singled Out for God (SOFG). Whether you've come through a divorce, been widowed or have never been married, this growing and life-giving community is a secure environment where you can grow in Christ and build friendships with other singles. You can join us Sundays from 9:30-10:45am in room 213. We typically spend time talking over refreshments before class. Then we attend the 11am service together. Often, we'll go out to lunch at a local restaurant after service. With several different social gatherings and events throughout the week, it's easy to stay connected.

We are a group that is made up primarily 40 years and older that are seeking to grow in relationship with God and others as we live and do life together. We will meet Sunday mornings at the church to study, pray, learn, encourage, laugh, and have fun together as a group. There will be the occasional off-site gathering for fun and service. We invite all looking for the same to come check us out.

Typically we ride twice monthly. Most rides are 50-100 miles with a stop for a meal, though we may schedule longer rides on occasion. All motorcycle makes/models are welcome, and all rides are beginner-friendly.

"Share Jesus without fear" serles from Wllllam Fae - A series on how to share Jesus and faith with others In a non-confrontational, Iovlng manner. Hosted by CMA Christian Motorcyclist Association. Meets on the first Sunday of each month at the church. Child care is not provided, however, interested children elementary age an up are welcome to participate in the group. There is an $8 cost for curriculum.

The members of His Allies help people in need with minor home repairs, moving, and other miscellaneous needs for people who can not perform these tasks on their own.

Night Lights creates safe and accepting environments by providing respite care for children with special needs and their families. They meet the 3rd Friday of the month at Southeast.

Outreach: Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is an annual event. Volunteers on this team help promote the event, hand out boxes, collect boxes and drop off boxes to the collection center.

Outreach: SECOR Christmas Outreach

SECOR partners with churches and agencies to get the names of children and seniors who need assistance in the 42 zip codes where SECOR serves. We anticipate that over 1,300 children will receive gifts through Christmas Outreach this year. We work with the community to help find the gifts the children are asking for and provide food for their families and food for hundreds of seniors.

The Changing Room is a clothing ministry designed to lift women up. They host a fall and spring boutique at Southeast and have regular sort days on the 2nd Saturday of the month at Southeast.

The Winter Shelter Network is a network of churches serving the homeless in Douglas County by providing rest, meals and connection during the winter months. The Winter Shelter Network serves women and children who are in need of temporary shelter during the winter months. Southeast hosts guests on Sunday evenings through Monday afternoon, November through March.

Outreach: Whiz Kids

When: Tuesday, Evening   

Every Tuesday night 6:30 - 8:00, October - April, Whiz Kids meets at Southeast for 1 hour of tutoring and a 30 minute Club Time where students hear the good news of God's love. Whiz Kids volunteers meet one on one with a student from Pine Lane Elementary, helping students with homework and improving their math and reading skills while building a positive relationship. Volunteers are people who want to help struggling elementary and middle school students learn new skills.

"A Prayer Place" is a gathering of women every Friday morning for prayer. Come and join us as we pray over and with each other, as well as the ministries of Southeast. Our desire to fulfill the words of Jesus found in Matthew 21:13: "The Scriptures declare, My house will be called a house of prayer." There\'s no need to sign-up, just come as you are!

Support: Adoptive/Foster Parents

The journey of adoption and foster care is hard, presenting a host of challenges. These challenges can leave you feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, terrified, exhausted, and isolated. In addition, non-adopting/fostering friends or family often do not understand these challenges and have a hard time relating to those who are in the trenches of adoption or foster care. At Southeast, we recognize these unique challenges and want to help. Our Adoption & Foster Parent Community exists to provide connection with other parents that "get" what you are living. Here, you\'ll find love, encouragement, and support that will help sustain you through the hard times of adoption & fostering. This group of adoptive & fostering parents meets once a month from 6:00-8:00 pm at Southeast Christian Church. We meet to connect with others who are on the same journey, to share our struggles and triumphs, hopes and fears, challenges and answers—or to just be a safe place for those moments when there are no answers.

This sacred sisterhood meets twice a month to share stories, offer encouragement, and pray together,. Divorce Recovery is a weekly support group-style seminar conducted by people who understand what you are experiencing. Built around a 12-week curriculum, Divorce Recovery gives you practical information that helps you recover and heal from your separation or divorce in a safe environment. Each week, the group begins by watching a video seminar on DVD featuring real-life stories of people who have experienced divorce. Then you'll be invited to participate in group discussion related to that week's topic. Single Mom's at Southeast is a gathering place for single moms to connect with other Christian single moms. We help support the unique challenges that you may face daily with guidance, encouragement, local resources, and a loving ear, all focused around our commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ and to serve our community by "Loving Where We Live". We usually meet the 3rd Saturday of every month at 5:00 pm at Southeast Christian Church in The Connecting Place, unless we have a special event. Free childcare and dinner is provided. No registration required, but emails are sent monthly with updates about events and optional social outings.

Women crave connection, relevance, and fun yet our lives are busy as we juggle all our many roles. The Gathering is a monthly event designed to fuel our hearts & spirits without a huge time investment. All women are invited to laugh together, be inspired by amazing speakers, & connect with groups of women similar to yourself in an environment that is totally unique and unlike most other ministries.
