Women in Scripture

This class will explore both the lives of women in Scripture as well as Christian and cultural concepts that have affected women throughout history. Join Diana as she examines God’s purpose and design for women by examining females throughout the Old and New Testaments. Using discussion and critical thinking, we will also analyze how Biblical interpretations and traditions have impacted women.

Reading the Bible in Context

10 WEEKS | JANUARY - APRIL
Sometimes reading the Bible can be confusing, this can happen for a number of reasons, whether it’s not understanding the historical context, where the story is taking place, or how it fits into the grander narrative of Scripture. Understanding the Bible in Context will seek to help alleviate these tension points and help you become a better reader of the text. We’ll explore the concepts of historical, cultural, and geographical contexts amongst others, as well as how to understand Scripture in our modern day. We’ll examine Scripture passages using these techniques so that you can better read the Bible.
