Early Childhood Director
We count it an honor to serve your family on Sunday mornings. We welcome your children from babies to fifth grade and families of special needs. We desire and teach kids to know that God loves them, knows them, and leads them. They are powerful disciples for His Kingdom.
Whether you have a tiny newborn or an energetic preschooler, we offer a variety of experiences for your child. Each early childhood room is structured to love, support, and engage your child at their unique developmental level.
Kids Kindergarten through the 5th grade will enjoy interactive worship and Bible teaching within their age groups. We intentionally focus on small groups to grow community and for the kids to learn how to apply the Bible, the lesson and prayer to their lives.
We have a dedicated safe and fun environment, with a team of trained volunteers and professionals, for your kids to experience God's love in unique and personal ways. We believe kids with special needs are blessed with a very special gift from the Lord.
We are a Christ-centered community that focuses on discipling kids for every developmental stage and with a variety of learning styles. We teach from the Bible about who God is, who each beautiful child is in Jesus, and how we are all made to be a part of the Church together- young ones to mature ones.
Each hallway is purposefully led by a staff member and an incredible team of trained volunteers who engage relationally in a loving and caring environment to impact the hearts of kids. We desire to partner with you in your child’s spiritual upbringing. All staff and volunteers are federally background checked.
As a first time family, check in it will take a few extra minutes to get in the check-in system. A connections check-in host will gather your child’s information. You will then receive a name tag for their child with a secure alpha-numeric pick up code. This pick up code also allows us to contact families during the service if necessary. The connections host will guide you and your child to the right classroom.
We have adults and youth who love God and have been trained in the area they serve. They build relationship with kids and encourage spiritual growth by teaching the Bible, prayer, and worship.
We use a curriculum called Orange for all our kids classrooms. Orange combines the light of the church (yellow) with the love of the home (red) to create a strategy that connects kids and families to God. The curriculum content is Bible based while implementing bible verses, worship songs, activities and crafts surrounding the Bible story and theme each week.
Our Safety and Response Team monitor all kid hallways along with supporting staff.
We have a nursing room located in the Early Childhood Area equipped with a TV in which the service is live-streamed.
We encourage parents to take their children to the restroom before service begins. If the need arises during service, children will be escorted by volunteers to the restroom. If help is needed by a child a volunteer must be at least 16 years old to help with restroom situations including diaper changes. We have hallway cameras and a safety and response team member overseeing all kids areas.
For the health of all individuals and respect of others, if your child has a fever, cough, or runny nose currently or within the past 24 hours, please do not bring them until they are well. If during the time your child is with us, if they begin to exhibit symptoms we will contact you to pick them up to help keep a healthy environment
Encourage the next generation to connect with God by joining the Family Ministry Volunteer Team. You can serve behind-the-scenes and/or interact directly with people.
Southeast family ministry uses Orange curriculum for Early Childhood and Elementary weekend teaching. Download the Parent Cue app for resources to help you engage with your children.
