Follow Along with the Message

Jeremiah 22:3 | New International Version (NIV)

This is what the LORD says: Do what is just and right. Rescue from the hand of the oppressor the one who has been robbed. Do no wrong or violence to the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place.

Matthew 22:37 | NIV

Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

Implications:

1. Reclaiming the Bible’s view of Justice isn’t moving toward culture, it is moving toward God’s heart.

2. Justice doesn’t only agree that something should be done, it goes to the source of the world’s problems to bring about real change.

3. God’s call to us is not to evacuate this world, but to engage it through him.

4. Justice invites the broken places of this world into wholeness.
